Danville, KY - After an active week at the USTA Tennis Center in Orlando, Florida, Centre Women's Tennis returned to Danville to kickoff the final home weekend of the season. The Trinity Tigers were on the other side and got the better of the Colonels via a 7-0 win.
Grace Williams and
Carlie Mitchell paired up once more in #2 doubles and cruised to a 6-2 win. Unfortunately, Trinity was just as strong in the other two doubles matches, 6-3 and 6-2, to claim the team point.
In singles action, Trinity took five of the six matches in straight sets.
Sara Dunn pushed her opponent to a third set tiebreak in #6 singles but ultimately came up short as Trinity completed the sweep of the day.
Centre now turns its focus to Senior Day on Sunday as Southwestern comes to town with the action starting at 11:00am.
