LEXINGTON, Ky. - Earlier today the American Volleyball Coaches Association released its weekly poll and Centre moved up to a no. 14 national ranking, a new high ranking in program history.

The Colonels, who made their debut in the 2026 AVCA poll last week following their upset win over no. 3 Illinois Wesleyan, vaulted up six spots after winning a pair of games against Berea and Sewanee to improve to 9-0 on the year. Centre's nine straight wins are the most to open a season in program history as well.

Centre will travel to Texas this weekend for a series of conference games, beginning with a matchup against Southwestern on Sept. 25.
