His football teams established a school record for consecutive victories at 17 in 1954-56
His teams set national records for rushing yardage and total offense by the conclusion of his football coaching career
Served as either the head coach or assistant coach during 122 Centre College gridiron victories
During his coaching career, no other Kentucky school had a higher percentage of lettermen earn degrees than did Centre
Won numerous state, regional, and conference titles in golf
Served Centre as athletic director and chairman of the physical education program
As a student, Inman was captain of the football and baseball teams and vice president of the senior class
