Centre College Athletics

Tom Cowens was a top scorer for the Centre basketball team, averaging double figures for three straight College Athletic Conference championship teams. As a senior, Cowens played in the national quarterfinals. He was Centre's most valuable player and Co-MVP of the conference. During that last season, he averaged 17.2 points and 8.5 rebounds. Cowens was an All-Region pick following his junior and senior seasons. He remains among Centre's top scorers  of all time with 1,131 points.
