Hall of Fame
Gary Wright, a 1964 Centre graduate, was honored for being a multi-sport athlete with the Colonels. Wright was a four-year starter and letterman for the Colonels in both baseball and basketball and was a member of the 1964 Centre basketball team that made the first NCAA Tournament in the program’s storied history. Wright has also been a generous donor for the Centre baseball program, helping install new lights, dugouts, fences and a playing surface to the baseball field, as well as helping to fund the Fishman Center indoor hitting facility. The Centre baseball team plays its home games at Gary Wright Field.
