Centre College Athletics

2004 Centre graduate John Ortega played three sports for the Colonels and was the first Centre athlete since 1952 to start in baseball, basketball and football. As a football player, Ortega was the recipient of both the Joe McDaniel Excellence Award and the Homer Rice Award. Ortega was also a multiple time All-SCAC selection in both football and baseball and a member of the SCAC All-Tournament Team in basketball.
