A three-year letterman in swimming and one-year letterman in football. Fugmann was a six-time All-American in swimming. NCAA Champion in 400-individual medley (1980). Liberal Arts Champion (1979, 1980, 1981) and winner of the Jefferson Cup Award (1982).
