Three-sport standout at Centre in the early 1950s

Lettered in football, basketball, and track

Was known as a tougher-than-nails defensive end

Helped lead the football team to an overall record of 19-9-1

A standout quarter-miler on the track team

Joins the likes of Bo McMillin, Matty Bell, and Ed Diddle who enjoyed tremendous athletic careers at Centre and then established themselves as legendary coaches at other institutions

As the head football coach at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts from 1966-2004, Pete won 195 games, making him the all-time winningest coach among New England Division III coaches and placing him among the all-time leaders in Division III

His teams won or shared 7 conference championships and played in the NCAA tournament twice
